Camping Cot – Queen Size, Double, Mattress, Best Camping Cot

camping_cot

Camping is always a good time, but a bit less so if you’re waking up with a stiff back or neck after having slept amongst tree roots and rocks. From extra large cots with side tables and stash pockets to smaller, space-saving options, you’re bound to find a cot that will help you get a better night’s sleep. Elevate your shut-eye experience in the wilderness by sleeping on a new camping cot.

Picking out a quality cot for camping is about finding one that is sturdy yet flexible enough to fold up, otherwise you might as well just tote your memory foam mattress around with you. Usually you want frames that are made of long-lasting materials, typically high-grade aluminum, steel, or titanium (if you don’t mind emptying out your savings). Get one with a durable cover that can be washed and will stand up to abuse and is long and wide enough for your body type.

Truth be told, you can’t go wrong with any of these choices but the key to buying the right cot is knowing how and why you will use it.

Think about it, you are out camping, so you are probably being very, very active.  Hiking, cooking, gathering firewood, etc.  All of this takes up a lot of energy and it is important for you to get a good night’s rest.  Wow, I am getting tired just thinking about it.  So when the end of a long day comes, do you want to sleep on a ground, or do you want a comfortable cot to rest your weary head?

Buying Guide

Whilst my preference is the Coleman Pack-Away Cot with Side Table, you should get the cot that is right for you. If you are buying a cot for your son or daughter, then the Coleman ComfortSmart Cot is the way to go.  If you need a cot that is a bit more durable, then you can’t go wrong with the Teton Sports Outfitter XXL Camp Cot or the Coleman Queen Airbed Cot with Side Tables and 4D Battery Pump.  All four cots are great choices, just remember to get the right one for you.

As you conduct your due diligence, make sure to check customer reviews on Amazon and other websites. All four of the cot are highly rated and have great reputations, but the key is to look for other customers who will use the cot the same way you will.

Remember to check out the terms. Is shipping included, what is the warranty and most importantly will your insurance cover the purchase.  Let’s face it, we live in the real world, so make you check the fine print first.

Lastly, is the cot you want in stock?  If not, are you willing to wait until it comes in? Making sure you know when your choice will ship and be delivered to you is important as who wants to keep sleeping on the ground?
